''Golgota Picnic'' ("Golgotha Picnic") is a 2011 play by the Argentinian playwright Rodrigo García that has attracted criticism from conservative Christian groups. ==Theme== García described the play as interweaving serious critique of consumer society, despair over the human race and deconstruction of the person and message of Jesus of Nazareth. The play has been described as one of Garcia's major works, a critique of modernity, consumerism and social inequality, which is partially rooted in religion. For Golgota Picnic, Rodrigo Garcia has collaborated for the first time with musician Marino Formenti, who performs in the show "The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour On the Cross" by Joseph Haydn on a piano, completely naked.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Jesus play Golgota Picnic angers Christians in France )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title="Golgota picnic", nouvelle cible des catholiques intégristes )〕 The play has been shown in a number of countries, including Spain.〔
